Take Time For God’s Word

Every new habit needs to create a pattern.   It needs to be imprinted on your behaviors.   It needs to be repeated often enough so that it seems natural and even easy to do.

That’s how I’ve designed this Introduction..   It will provide you with some GREAT verses which you may already be familiar.   It will help you visual them at their “time” on a clock.   It will list the keywords to get you started.   Together, we will work through some trigger events or activities to help reinforce these verses. The next steps are up to you.  You will need to try to remember a verse for each hour that you check the time.

I encourage Bible Study class students to initially use the printed paper (see Appendices section for information/ instructions) so that you are looking at the verses frequently. You want this to be successful.   That is why you invested in this book.  You want to spend more time in God’s Word AND you want that Word to become more a part of your life every day.  You will find that sometimes, just a glance at the paper is all that is needed to trigger remembering the verse.  Soon, it will happen automatically and you can file the paper away.

The Reviews Are In!

The book is a meshing of Dave’s life experiences and what happened (and happens) when God’s Word is brought to bear on our workaday world. Dave develops Bible texts that show that Christ is the glue that keeps it all together for him and can do the same for all who take time for God’s Word.
Charles S. Mueller, Pastor
“The book has taught me how to get more out of Gods word, and ways to remember verses that get me through my everyday life. I now think about some verse mentioned in the book at different times during the day according to the chapter verse numbers.

All too often, many of us forget to think about God throughout the day; myself included. The simple concept of associating verses with the clock provides a constant reminder, especially when staring at a computer all day and seeing the chapter:verse format in the lower right hand corner. Dave presents themes in a straight-forward manner, and uses personal examples and stories that are easy to relate back to our own lives. — P. Graham Amazon Reviewer
The author did a tremendous job of making verses applicable in life and helping an individual see through all the everyday noise and strive towards the true purpose in life. Great book!
